In July of 2023, Songsmiths (originally known as Springfield Songs & Stories) came to life through the vision of songwriter Jayce Hein in conjunction with the owners of BS Brew Works in Springfield, TN. They envisioned a Nashville-quality songwriter showcase that would bring top writing talent to Robertson County and make it accessible to all.

When Jayce elected to end his participation in the series, BS Brew Works management polled the event sponsors and frequent attendees to gauge interest in continuing the event and were met with a resounding “Yes, please!”, and Songsmiths was born.

Every 2nd Thursday now welcomes artists and fans alike to the BS taproom for an evening of hits and more from some of Nashville’s most prolific and successful writers. We invite you to experience this listening room-styled event for yourself to see and hear why it has become the highly anticipated event met with such enthusiasm month after month.
